Richard has worked in financial services providing advice and structured finance solutions to corporate and financial institutions clients for over 25 years. His experience is overwhelmingly in areas which combine elements of investment banking (corporate finance, capital structuring and credit analysis) with capital and derivative markets.
He gained extensive cross-border experience as a structured finance banker specializing in complex transactions in tax-advantaged financing, acquisition finance, and corporate securitisation during a 17-year career at J.P. Morgan and Chase Investment Bank. Richard held positions as Managing Director, Corporate Structured Finance, and as Head of Structured Capital, Europe. He has broad and deep experience across a diverse range of industry sectors including automotive, technology, media and leisure, telecommunications, mining, power, defence, real estate and pension funds. Richard also created and implemented pension solutions when acting as an independent adviser prior to establishing Traycer. His advisory clients included UK private equity firm Vision Capital and fixed income manager Cairn Capital. Earlier in his career, Richard worked in loan syndications and secondary asset sales, and in Chase’s Corporate Banking Group. He was also a member of GE Capital’s Leveraged Buyout and Acquisition Finance Group.
Richard holds an MBA from the Yale School of Management and read Economics
at Cambridge University. He is a Governor of the Mill Hill School Foundation.
